Level 1 White Belt
Our white belt program which introduces the great game of golf to boys and girls who are new or have had very little instruction. Suggested for ages 6-9.
This program :
- is 4/60 minute sessions over 4 weeks.
- covers basic rules and etiquette to introduce the great game of golf.
- covers basics in grip, stance, posture, and ball position for many aspects of the game of golf.
- covers full swing, chipping, and putting in a fun and encouraging manner.
- is a great place to start if your child is new to the game or needs a refresher course.
- is recommended before doing the level 2 program.
CHECKPOINTS TO PASS LEVEL 1 INCLUDE :
- Remains focused through the lesson
- Respects the instructor and their fellow students
- Can 3 putt from 20 feet once in 4 attempts (will get 2 chances during the program)
- Can chip a ball onto the putting surface from 5 yards off the green once in 4 attempts (will get 2 chances during the program)
- Keeps their hands close together on the club during full swings
- Makes contact with the ball on a full swing 50% of the time
- Can name 6 key parts of a golf course. Putting Green, Tee Box, Sand Trap, Water Hazard, Rough, Fairway (this will be tested using a picture and jumbled labels)
TESTING IS DONE DURING THE LESSONS AND 6 of 7 CHECKPOINTS MUST BE PASSED TO MOVE ONTO THE LEVEL 2 YELLOW BELT PROGRAM.
